What type of materials do you use?
I use high-quality materials, including 14k gold-filled and sterling silver. (Some pieces may use gold vermeil (gold plated on top of sterling silver), which will be specified in the product description. These metals are hypoallergenic and suitable for most sensitive skin.
What is gold-filled jewelry?
14K gold-filled jewelry is made by bonding a thick layer of real 14K gold to a base metal, creating a durable and long-lasting finish that’s designed for everyday wear. It contains significantly more gold than gold-plated jewelry, making it a more durable alternative to plating at a more accessible price than solid gold.
Durable & long-lasting: A substantial layer of gold(100x more than gold plating) is bonded to the base metal for lasting everyday wear.
Hypoallergenic: 14K gold-filled jewelry is nickel-free and suitable for many people with sensitive skin. However, sensitivities vary from person to person.
Water & tarnish resistant: Gold-filled jewelry is more resistant to tarnishing and wear than gold-plated jewelry. For the longest-lasting finish, we recommend removing your jewelry before swimming, showering, and using lotions, perfumes, chlorine, or harsh chemicals.
In short: Gold-filled gives you the look and feel of gold with a durable finish that's made for everyday wear.
How do I clean my gold-filled jewelry?
Gently clean your gold-filled jewelry with a jewelry polishing cloth or warm water and mild soap. For any buildup, use a soft toothbrush and gently brush the piece. Avoid prolonged contact with chlorine, harsh chemicals, cleaning products, and beauty products. When not wearing your jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place to help preserve its shine
What is sterling silver jewelry?
Sterling silver is made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, typically copper, which is why you’ll often see it marked as 925 sterling silver. It’s generally a good choice for those with nickel sensitivities. However, if you have severe metal allergies, please keep in mind that individual sensitivities can vary.
How do I clean my sterling silver jewelry?
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time, but regular wear can help keep it looking bright!T o restore its shine, it's super easy - gently polish your jewelry with a silver polishing cloth. For heavier tarnish, use a gentle silver cleaner and follow the product instructions.
To help prevent tarnishing, avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine, bleach, harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and salt water. When not wearing your jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in a jewelry pouch.
